Laurel Kurtz

Laurel grew up in Portland, Oregon and before earning her B.A. in Sculpture and her M.F.A. in Contemporary Art Practices/Social Practice from Portland State University, she was a pastry chef and cake decorator for many years.  She has had other jobs including house painting, janitorial work and teaching college sculpture classes and children’s art classes at the museum. She enjoys traveling and has an art practice that involves collaborative socially engaged work with other artists and people in her community.  Before working in the EC she did some volunteer work at Port City’s Project Grow.

Nellie Gulmatico

Nelita, (Nellie) is originally from the Phillipines. She has been with Port City for almost 10 years. She is part of our Direct Care staff and also drives for the Transportation Department. In her free time, she enjoys shopping and spending time with friends and family.

Luke Forsyth

Luke Forsyth, was born on a beautiful farm in far Northern California. Living amongst mystics, artists and creatives, he has a broad range of artistic talents as well as interests in alternative education, therapeutic arts and different forms of collaborative artistery. His education runs from an undergraduate degree in visual arts from University Of California at Santa Cruz and Humboldt State University with an emphasis in collaborative arts, to time of studying Psychology and the artistic applications, at Portland State University. He is a multi-disciplinary artist working in many media lukeforsyth.blogspot.com and always having shows locally and also out of state. Check it out and take a tour of all the projects.

Luke in his down time likes pictures of kitties and puppies and cooking yummy vegetables and taking long walks on the beach.
