Community Involvement

Our volunteer program connects individuals with meaningful opportunities for community service. Through volunteering, participants discover and explore their interests, try out possible career paths, meet new people, and gain skills while increasing a sense of belonging and contributing to the community in which they live. We believe that volunteering is a worthwhile pursuit in any well-rounded life, and that service learning can be an important stepping-stone on the path to realizing one’s employment goals. We work with individuals to match their abilities and desires with opportunities in the community and provide the supports necessary to ensure a successful and rewarding volunteer experience for each participant.

Port City Volunteers have lent a helping hand at the following places:

• Blue Heaven Riding Academy
• The Oregon Humane Society
• The Pixie Project
• Store to Door grocery shopping for seniors
• Zenger Farm
